Nubar - Greener

Time to swatch another Nubar for you!   Today we have Greener, from the Going Green Collection.

indoors, most accurate colour

A very pretty emerald green, with a glow from within finish and lovely sparkly shimmer.  The application was good, not quite a smooth as my previous Nubar's, a little thicker, but still great to apply.  Opaque in two coats.

sparkly finish, not quite so teal as pic shows,
but gives you an idea of finish

outdoors, shade

This is very similar to ChG Emerald Sparkle,  the colour is the same but ES has glitter and this is a shimmer and glows from within.  It is more classy than ES as it doesn't have the glitter, so if glitter is not your thing, this would be perfect for you.

Gosh - Black Passion

Another polish form a recent haul, one people were interested in seeing swatched, so here goes :o)

This is Gosh Black Passion,  a deep charcoal black with a silver/grey teeny tiny sparkle effect, don't think its micro glitter its more like Zoya polishes can look, you know that flecked look?
It just lifts the colour and stops it being a true black, it is more of a deep charcoal with gunmetal effect flash.

Great application, smooth, not drag and opaque in two coats.  Pretty much perfect.

I held off getting this for ages as I thought it was just a boring black, but it is very pretty and the tiny glitter/fleck adds texture and shimmer to the surface, just lovely!   I like this far more than I thought I would and will wear it a lot.

Some New Pages for Konad and Polish on my blog!

I have created some pages for polish swatches and Konad stuff.

They can be found using the links across the top of the page, under the banner.

There are now dedicated pages for Konad tips and tricks and Konad polish swatches, I am hoping they will be of help to new Konaders and old.  You can see tips I have learnt along the way and swatches of the konad polish I currently have over different coloured bases.

There are also pages for Konad Gallery and Polish swatches, so you can see designs I have created and swatches I have done, all in one easy to find place.

There is also a page listing My Polish Stash, so you can see what I currently have in my collection, adding to that all the time   ;o)

I hope these new pages help you out with your Konading and polish buying.  I just wanted some valuable information be be easier to find and in one place !

Konad Polish Swatches

HI Girls!

I posted a mini Konad haul yesterday, which included some Princess polishes. I had a request from Polish'd Cindy to let you know how the new polishes stamped.........I thought it was maybe best to show all the konad polishes I have and swatch them on 4 base colours for you.

I will show them on these base coats:

Barry M Grey ( darker than CG Recycle)
Wet n Wild White
Barry M Baby Pink
China Glaze For Audrey

I think these colours will help show how they print on various tones of polish, we have seen greys and white before, but it may help more to show some pastel bases too, hence my choice of For Audrey and Baby Pink.

Key to Konad Polishes used (I don't own them all, sorry)

Special Polishes
A - White
1 - Black
2 - Black Pearl
3 - Red
4 - Blue
5 - Gold
6 - Pastel Green
7 - Pastel Blue
8 - Pastel Violet
9 - Pastel Pink

Princess Polishes
10 - Princess Violet Pearl
11 - Princess Psyche Pink
12 - Princess Chocolate
13 - Princess Light Grey

First on Barry M Grey (darker than CG Recycle)
as you can see, the darker colours aren't as stark as the pastels, but they are still okay.
Chocolate and Violet Pearl don't show so much.

Second on Wet n Wild White
I didn't bother with white on this one! Pastel green looks invisible here, the rest fare well

Thirdly on Barry M Baby Pink
as expected, the pastel violet, pink and green don't show so well, the rest are okay

Last but not least, on China Glaze For Audrey
Here we see that the pastel blue, green, violet and pink don't show so well, the rest are fine

I have to say I think the must have polishes are White and Black, you can't really beat these for intensity. My other favourite is Princess Psyche Pink, love that one!
The Black Pearl is slightly more purple black and has a subtle shimmer.
The Gold is not as sheer as I have been led to believe, though not as good as CG Khromes........
The Princess Violet Pearl looks more of a grey/lilac, it is not as bright as I have seen elsewhere, maybe they changed the formula, or the standard violet pearl is brighter.......useable but not the nice purple as I was after. Looks better over pinks as this warms it up.
The standard special polishes were all thick as we know konad polishes to be, the brushes were good too. The Princess polishes varied a bit more, the chocolate was thinner and the brushes varied, out of the four I have, two were perfect and two were splayed out badly, still okay for konad purposes though.

Hope that helps some of you decide if Konad Special Polishes are needed or not, and which ones would suit your purpose.
I know China Glaze polishes work well, especially the metallic ones. They dry super quick though so you must work much faster than with konad polishes.
Any pigmented or thick polishes are worth a try. Just experiment and have fun, it is all part of the Konad experience......
