I posted a mini Konad haul yesterday, which included some Princess polishes. I had a request from Polish'd Cindy to let you know how the new polishes stamped.........I thought it was maybe best to show all the konad polishes I have and swatch them on 4 base colours for you.
I will show them on these base coats:
Barry M Grey ( darker than CG Recycle)
Wet n Wild White
Barry M Baby Pink
China Glaze For Audrey
I think these colours will help show how they print on various tones of polish, we have seen greys and white before, but it may help more to show some pastel bases too, hence my choice of For Audrey and Baby Pink.
Key to Konad Polishes used (I don't own them all, sorry)
Special Polishes
A - White
1 - Black
2 - Black Pearl
3 - Red
4 - Blue
5 - Gold
6 - Pastel Green
7 - Pastel Blue
8 - Pastel Violet
9 - Pastel Pink
Princess Polishes
10 - Princess Violet Pearl
11 - Princess Psyche Pink
12 - Princess Chocolate
13 - Princess Light Grey
First on Barry M Grey (darker than CG Recycle)
as you can see, the darker colours aren't as stark as the pastels, but they are still okay.
Chocolate and Violet Pearl don't show so much.

Second on Wet n Wild White
I didn't bother with white on this one! Pastel green looks invisible here, the rest fare well
Thirdly on Barry M Baby Pink
as expected, the pastel violet, pink and green don't show so well, the rest are okay
Last but not least, on China Glaze For Audrey
Here we see that the pastel blue, green, violet and pink don't show so well, the rest are fine
I have to say I think the must have polishes are White and Black, you can't really beat these for intensity. My other favourite is Princess Psyche Pink, love that one!
The Black Pearl is slightly more purple black and has a subtle shimmer.
The Gold is not as sheer as I have been led to believe, though not as good as CG Khromes........
The Princess Violet Pearl looks more of a grey/lilac, it is not as bright as I have seen elsewhere, maybe they changed the formula, or the standard violet pearl is brighter.......useable but not the nice purple as I was after. Looks better over pinks as this warms it up.
The standard special polishes were all thick as we know konad polishes to be, the brushes were good too. The Princess polishes varied a bit more, the chocolate was thinner and the brushes varied, out of the four I have, two were perfect and two were splayed out badly, still okay for konad purposes though.
Hope that helps some of you decide if Konad Special Polishes are needed or not, and which ones would suit your purpose.
I know China Glaze polishes work well, especially the metallic ones. They dry super quick though so you must work much faster than with konad polishes.
Any pigmented or thick polishes are worth a try. Just experiment and have fun, it is all part of the Konad experience......

ohh good idea! Im wondering if Konad released a new version of their gold, because the gold I have is VERY sheer :-( maybe I bought I bad one..lol
Toya: I'm wondering the very same thing about my Princess Violet Pearl! It just seems a but drab compared to others I have seen......I guess it does happen from time to time. Never mind, gives me an excuse to keep hunting down a good purple ;o)
Wow, great job. Love seeing how the polishes work on different on the dark and light.
The black and red seem the best for both. :)
Awesome,
Susie
This was very helpful, thanks
Thanks so much for taking the time to swatch all of these for us! Very helpful!
Glad to hear it helped some of you. It is an interesting reference for me too, I like to see what can be stamped over what colour. It was fun to do !
Thanks for the swatches!!!
Wow you've got loads of Konad polishes!
I'm starting to wonder if these actually ARE worth it.. I always eschewed them as Konad just trying to get more money by saying these are the only things you can use with their system but the majority of them really do work well. I only have three myself (red, white and blue that came with my first Konad starter kit), perhaps at some point this year I'll have to invest in a couple more.
Glad your polishes arrived safely - that was quick! You gonna put swatches up on here? If so, can't wait to see ^_^; Ginger is a stunner, was kinda sad to let it go but I just never wear it!
*hugs*
Leanne
thank you for the hard work to swatch everything like this =)))) you helped me a lot!
Leanne. I must admit, I do prefer using the Konad ones, they just give you a clearer print and more time to work with, though for metallic looks CG is a must. I only have so many as I bought a few konad kits and got the 5ml sizes of the red, white, blue and the pastel shades in those, the only full sized ones I bought extra were the black and the Princess ones.
My polishes from your blog sale are scrummy, yes I will more than likely show them on here as I wear them ;o) I took OPI Alice off today though, so need to give my nails a rest from glitter, as it is a bugger to remove and leaves your nails a bit scratched up. Once they look okay I will be trying the CH ones. The holo glitter in Ginger is lovely...
Trincess: glad they have helped. The whole konad thing can get pricey and its nice to see what works for your needs and what doesn't.
Thank you so much for doing this! Seeing the comparisons shows me that my Princess Purple Violet is doing the exact same thing (somtimes it stamps crisply and dark, other times it half transfers to my nail and half stays on the stamp and appears more sheer), and that I WILL want to get the white and black special polishes. :)
Sarah: Hiya, glad to hear its not just me that has problems with VP, though mine has improved as its got older, I think it thickened and that helped. So pleased this post was of help to you, the Black and white ones are fab :)
Wow this is such a super helpful post! Thanks so much Hun for taking the time to show us how all the different konad polishes work and show up :)
